ST. GEORGE REPLACEMENT BRIDGE
The St. George Bridge represents a significant infrastructure connection joining together the neighborhood of Inglewood to the south with St. George’s Island on the north. The original bridge is now over 100 years old and was designed for a previous generation of transportation. This project consists of replacing the existing bridge with a contemporary structure while also providing public amenities at both abutments. The new bridge will accommodate multiple forms of movement including vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian. MTA provided architectural design for the design elements on the bridge including hand and guard rails and landscaping. MTA also produced renderings for stakeholder engagement sessions.
