SUNNYSIDE STORMWATER LIFT STATION
605 1 Ave NW
Upgrade an existing storm lift station located at 605 1 Avenue NW, Calgary. The design intent is to create a form that is simple yet captivating and use materials that are durable, contextual and thoughtful. The new main structure is integrated with the existing well. The materials chosen for this project are contextual (brick, metal panel, wood) and compliment the landscape, allowing the building to fit its environment and feel less invasive.
The subtle geometry of the building endorse the shape of the triangular site and provide low maintenance envelope. The wood textured metal siding facade, and dark colour brick and roof blends structure into the neighbourhood at the same time providing contemporary appearance.
