HILTON GARDEN INN & HOMEWOOD SUITES
The 300-room hotel located within Calgary’s East Village encompasses two separate brands; Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Inn & Suites. The Hotel aligns with the overall vision of the East Village Master plan by orientating the public programmatic functions towards the street and connecting the interior with the pedestrian realm. The Hotel Lobbies, Bar and Restaurant on located on the Main floor with the Conference Facilities, Library and Business Centre on the Second – Mezzanine Floor, with rooms occupying the remaining floors.
The final design solution successfully negotiated the previously non-aligned requirements into a cohesive solution that is deemed to be part of the establishment of 4th Street SE as the “High Street” for the area.
The modern aesthetic of the principal building massing has been delineated in order to express the nature of the building, as incorporating the two Hotel brands, while providing for a cohesive facade solution for the East Village.
