GRACE VILLAGE CENTRE OF HOPE
This new 78,000 ft² transitional housing complex accommodating three distinct Programmes offered by The Salvation Army (SA) in Edmonton, and replaces an existing out dated facility that SA operates in East downtown Edmonton. This design intends to assist in bringing a level of respect and independence to a sector of our population that is struggling with addiction and mental health. Residents are grouped in private bedroom settings with shared washrooms, common areas lounges, multi-purpose rooms, computer labs, activity spaces, counseling rooms and a large common dining room. The design also allows for multiple courtyards and garden areas. Our scope also included developing the Functional Programme for the facility and assisting in the evaluation of multiple possible site locations for the building prior to the decision to locate on an existing SA site (Grace Manor). We are currently in the Schematic Design Phase of the project.
