Sherwood Park, AB


MTA + MJMA worked as an integrated team to complete the feasibility study, detailed design and contract administration for this award-winning facility. The project is a major step in the implementation of Strathcona County’s Aquatic Strategy. Located in a new neighbourhood in Sherwood Park, the Emerald Hills Leisure Centre shares a site with Archbishop Jordan High School, major outdoor playing field complex, storm water pond/recreation area. This project includes a 6-lane 25 metre lap pool, leisure pool with zero depth accessible entry, whirlpool neighborhood aquatic play amenities, male/female/family change rooms and a 6,500 square foot fitness/wellness component.
