The Cougar Street Affordable Housing apartment project is an opportunity to create affordable housing options for individuals and families within Banff. The project consists of thirty-six (36) compact rental units, with a mix of one, two , and three bedroom units. The unit layouts aim to provide efficient uses of space as well as efficient and compact structural and mechanical systems. Maintaining a high efficiency within the design allows for a greater unit count, allowing the project to provide more people with affordable housing solutions in Banff. In response to the building’s context, the Rocky Mountains, the project emphasizes the use of outdoor space all year round, allowing residents to be immersed in the surrounding natural setting.
