Based on unique ideas about aging-in-place for seniors, our client approached us to provide design services for a new facility that would serve the community with Support Living Level 4 (SL4) and Supportive Living Level 4-Dementia (SL4D) residents. This 2-storey facility will be connected to the existing Phase 1 building that the MTA recently completed. The building orientation North/South responds not only to the site but also to orient public spaces to the beautiful 3 sisters peak view. The residential rooms are predominately East and West enjoying the mountain ranges of the valley. This project is divided into 4 areas, the resident’s neighborhood, common/publicspaces, BVRH offices and back of house area. The back of house area is connected to the common areas of phase 1 building. The new phase 2 facility will project a mountain look withmodern elements in an effort to integrate it into its local context, and also for the benefit of the residents on the site. This project is currently under construction.
