Canmore, AB.

MTA in collaboration with JDa are completing the design of the new Palliser Fire Hall in Canmore. The two-storey 25,500 ft² fire hall is designed to serve a composite Fire Department and will serve as the towns Emergency Coordination Centre and future fire training facility. The design is laid out to create logical flow through the building and reduce response times. The fire hall will have 4 tandem drive through bays, operations support spaces, hose tower, fire operations area, fire department administration space, training rooms, 8 dorms with kitchen, lounge and universal washrooms. The site is located along the Highway 1 corridor and will become a signature building for the Town both in terms of design aesthetic, but also in the ability to showcase Fire Smart and sustainable site design initiatives. The building is being designed to be highly energy efficient with renewable energy solutions and to meet the Town of Canmore policy to not increase their carbon foot print.
