The Lloydminster Entertainment Complex is embracing a bold vision to create a high quality development that will be a local, regional and national destination for gaming, hockey, and live entertainment. The development is located on the western edge of the City of Lloydminster on 28 acre site. The project includes a 200 room full service hotel with restaurant and spa; a 11,000 sq. ft. conference centre; a 30,000 sq ft casino with 500 slots and 25 gaming tables; and a 6,500 seat WHL arena and event centre.
Site development will include on-site parking, tree lined streets, outdoor plazas and entertainment spaces with extensive landscaping and naturalized areas to encourage cultural outdoor activities and four season use. MTa has been involved with the project from inception and is providing design and coordination services for Master Planning, Functional Programming, Architectural Design, and is supporting the development team with Public Consultation, development of the Business Case and coordination of Landuse Designation and Zoning.
