Located at the corner of 17th Street and 11th Avenue, the Hawks Bend are 1.01Ha. of now residential land that were recently subdivided from the existing Municipal Reserve (MR) parcel. Council took this initiative to further its commitment towards its number one priority, affordable housing.
The successful design will incorporate 49 units through a mix of Townhouse (17), Stacked Townhouse (24) and Duplex (8) living, primarily targeted at families. The design will also include: 6 two-bedroom units at 980 square feet; 6 two-bedroom units at 1114 square feet; with the balance of the units being three bedroom and ranging in size from 1303 to 1440 square feet. CCHC began construction in August of 2017 and a tentative 18 month construction schedule to completion is being forecasted. The phasing in of the unit schedule will be finalized in the coming months.
