The CBE has retained MTa for the CBE Booth Centre. MTa has supported the current published Expression of Interest and will be providing the Schematic Design Documents and building information to inform portions of the RFP process. MTA is also responsible for preparing and applying for the City of Calgary Land Use Bylaw “Direct Control – DC” Amendment which is supported in part by the SDD. This mixed use development, situated on one of the most desirable sites in Calgary’s East Village, would in part fulfill the East Village’s “Calgary Campus” vision for a mixed use educational, arts and residential development. It will also support a vibrant mix of public programs that compliment programs and services to be offered by the new Calgary Central Library and the National Music Centre. The proposed development is of a 240,000 square foot+ mixed use single building project that includes an underground three (3) level, 212 parking stalls parkade on a 27,500 square foot site.
