Situated in the town of Canmore, Marshall Tittemore Architects in collaboration with US based ARQ Architects developed and designed, for the Bow Valley SPCA, a no kill adoption facility for dogs and cats. A first of it's kind in Canada.

This innovative design eliminates the need for kennels and stacked cages and dog runs and replaces them with "doggy apartments" and "kitty condos" plus indoor / outdoor off leash play areas. Habitats incorporate environmentally friendly finishes, toys, and recycled furnishings to create more "home-like" environments.

The building integrates sustainable building practices such as smooth non-porous floors and walls, locally supplied or produced materials that contain recycled content or are produced from renewable sources.
