Peter Lougheed Centre Capital Expansion Calgary, Alberta Note: Renderings by HOK

Marshall Tittemore Architects and HOK Canada are working in collaboration to complete this major capital expansion to the Peter Lougheed Centre.

This multi-phased project will incorporate a new five-storey east addition to accommodate additional patient beds and Emergency. Major renovations to the existing facility will upgrade and expand surgical suites, mental health, transplant and renal facilities.

Early start projects are well underway and include strategic phasing and decanting of services in an existing operating facility; and a review of infection prevention, security and cross-site standards. The 'early start' projects also included Emergency Department renovations, Mental Health Short Stay renovations, parkade expansion, and the development of a new Construction and Administration Complex.

The PLC project is LEED registered and is expected to become Canada's first LEED Silver Certified Acute Care Facility!
