Stavely School

By relocating the Junior High program to Claresholm in the Fall of 2002, the modernized Stavely School now accommodates a remaining K-6 student capacity of 125. Since Area Guidelines for a school of this size do not exist, the building program combines the interpolation of a 200 capacity K-6 school with the 'realities' of the existing facility and construction budget.
The existing Industrial Arts shop was renovated to provide a new Library space that services both the School and Community. The existing gymnasium was retained to also serve both School and Community needs.
The 'academic' wing of the school provides four classroom spaces, and administration suite and required non-instructional spaces including storage, mechanical room, staff / student / handicap washrooms, maintenance and electrical closet.
New public entrances are provided for both the school and community library, and the existing West entry was renovated to provide student and after-hours community access.
