Canmore Civic Centre Canmore, Alberta

The Canmore Civic Centre is a 2-storey facility that houses the Town Municipal offices and the Canmore Museum and Geo-Science Center. The building has achieved a Silver LEED™ (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification by integrating green building initiatives including site design, massing and orientation, energy modeling, passive solar heating, natural day lighting, energy efficient mechanical/electrical systems, recycled and renewable construction materials.

Designed as a joint use facility, the Canmore Museum and GeoScience Center shares conference rooms, classrooms, and office/staff facilities with the Civic Center, including integrated exhibitions in the 'Interior Street', exterior Public Plaza and public lobby. Innovative and creative display design solutions for permanent exhibitions and displays are integrated with the architectural design.
